This is a 2 piece gown made of a mottled dark purple, 100% cotton. The full size pics shows the truest color representation. It is accented with black lace.

The Civil War day dress bodice has a slight peplum hemline, which hangs gracefully over the skirt. It has a square/tea gown neckline . It closes down the front with a faux vest made of the black cotton and black fabric covered buttons. It has been accented with matching black lace on the sleeves and black gimp braid at the hemline.

The skirt has 3 tiers that have been accented with two rows of the black lace.. The bottom tier is 360 inches around, the middle tier is 270 inches around and the top tier is 180 inches around. It is fully lined and has been hand pleated onto a matching waistband. It is approximately 44 inches long, hemmed. It closes in the back with a button. It is fully lined.
