This is a 2 piece Civil War Day dress/gown. Great mix and match ensemble.

It is a reproduction wallpaper striped skirt of naturals, blues and golds. The top is made of moonlit ocean blue, very, very close to navy. It has gold metal buttons down the front. It is 100% cotton. It has peplum hemline and gold Venice lace.

The bodice has a lovely jewel neckline with dropped shoulders and pagoda styled sleeves, with wide gold Venice lace. It has points in front and a pleated peplum in the back. It 4 darts in front with princess seams in the back, for the perfect fit. It is fully lined and closes down the front with Mother of Metal buttons. The hemline has been hand finished.

The skirt is a full 180 inches around and has been hand hemmed to approximately 44 inches. It has been hand pleated onto a matching waistband and closes in the back with hooks and eyes.

The gown, itself, measures waist of 48 inches with a bust of 56 nches
